Hidden away at the end of a cul-de-sac, we were very excited to undertake this new build. Given the small, sloping block and its trapezoidal shape, this project had its challenges including creating enough space to meet the client’s brief. However great challenges often lead to innovative designs, and the client could not be happier with the result. This beautiful contemporary home has 270 degree views of the stunning Linear Park. Clad in cedar and sandstone, the home sits nicely on the gum tree lined banks of the River Torrens.

Large double-glazed windows were used throughout the home to make the most of the stunning views. Tinting was used to increase the energy efficiency of the home. A corner of double sliding doors creates seamless access from the living and dining areas to a beautiful, wind protected deck.

The main bedroom has its own courtyard pond area, which allows the users to take in the stunning views whilst maintaining privacy from the park. Louvre and high-level windows were used throughout the home to facilitate natural ventilation and air flow.
