Outset Design was engaged by the owners of this four room villa to recreate an old extension into a light filled, functional kitchen, family and dining area. Due to the existing swimming pool location and size of the block, we were restricted in how far we could increase the extension and size of spaces within it. Two sets of triple stacking doors allows for easy access from the family room onto the alfresco and pool area. Large, high level windows allow an abundance of natural light into the extension and down the hall of the old villa.

An existing bedroom was used to create a new robe area and ensuite for the main bedroom, along with a second bathroom.With a love for paintings and sculptures, Outset provided opportunities for the owners to exhibit their collection in various pieces of joinery and against textured backdrops throughout the home. A feature block wall surrounds the fireplace and increases the thermal mass reducing temperature gain and loss from the western sun.
